Professional Certificates essential for any teacher

What do we mean by professional certificates? Are those degrees from universities or something else?

Professional certificates are those that enable you to teach English professionally, perfectly and confidently wherever you teach and whoever your learners are. Those certificates are as follows:

1- TKT Module 1 

This is introductory to ELT professional certificates. It's done at the British Council all over the world. You will not have to get training courses to obtain this certificate. You can do it easily at home and then go to BC to have your test and your certificate.  

What are we gonna study at this first certificate? 

Well, this course is divided into 18 units and the exam is 80 objective questions ( MCQs or Matching )

Unit 2: Lexis   ( How to teach vocabulary )
Unit 3: Phonology ( Sounds of English letters, stress, phonics )
Unit4: Reading 
Unit5: Listening 
Unit6: Writing

Unit 10: Exposure to language
Unit 11: Role of error in learning 
Unit 12: L1/L2 ( L1 represents your mother tongue either Arabic or Turkish or whatever it is/ L2 is the language you teach that is English )
Unit 13: Characteristics ( It deals with types of learners, kinds of intelligence and how to deal with them all ) 
Unit 14: Learners' needs ( How to analyze your Ss needs and how to meet them )  
Unit 15: Approaches to language teaching
Unit 16: Techniques 
Unit 17: Practice activities
Unit 18: Assessment ( How to assess each skill and the level of your learners.
